Wooster, OH – 2,960 s.f.
Originally built in 1979 as The Apple Creek Banking Company’s first branch beyond its namesake town, the North Wooster office had served its community faithfully for over four decades. But as customer needs grew and operational demands increased, it was time for a space that better matched the bank’s modern service standards.
K4 Architecture + Design partnered with Apple Creek Bank to design a comprehensive expansion and transformation of the North Wooster branch—doubling its size while staying rooted in the branch’s legacy of community service.
The project included front and rear additions to the building:
- A new front lobby and office expansion improves flow and customer experience.
- A rear addition increases operational space and back-of-house storage.
- The entire exterior was rebranded to reflect Apple Creek’s updated brand identity, creating a fresh and unified presence.
- Inside the building, both the existing and newly added spaces were updated with new finishes, furniture, equipment, and graphics to align with Apple Creek’s updated brand standards.
Working alongside Bauman Construction Group, the design team prioritized long-term efficiency, functionality, and a welcoming community atmosphere. As a thoughtful expansion for a growing community, the renovated branch will be better equipped to serve the evolving financial needs of Wooster families and businesses for years to come.
