Richmond, IN – 2,551 s.f.
K4 Architecture + Design partnered with Wayne Bank to deliver a new, ground-up branch on Richmond’s east side, building on the success of their Cambridge City remodel. Located next to Galo’s Restaurant, the new facility reflects Wayne Bank’s values of community, integrity, and sustainability—designed to serve the present and prepare for continued growth in the future.
The project reused brand standards established during the Cambridge City branch remodel, applying them to a compact, high-efficiency layout. Despite industry-wide material delays, the K4 team successfully completed the steel-constructed facility with traditional HVAC systems in under seven months—ahead of typical timelines for similar builds.
Inside, a cool gray palette with accents of blue and teal drawn from Wayne Bank’s branding creates a modern yet welcoming environment. Corner glass features and a masonry exterior provide a striking architectural presence, while custom environmental graphics—including a local history wall—celebrate the City of Richmond and deepen community connection.
Operationally, the design introduces teller pods and TCRs to enhance efficiency, echoing innovations from the Cambridge City location. Nearly all construction and subcontractor work was performed by Wayne County-based teams, reinforcing Wayne Bank’s commitment to local investment.
K4 is proud to continue its relationship with Wayne Bank, designing facilities that not only reflect a brand, but uplift a community.
